
Megan Austin
Community Advisory Council
Megan serves as the Resource Development Manager at TCU’s Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development (KPICD), where she leads a collaborative team in designing and updating engaging, accessible resources for Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®). She brings seven years of experience in content development, evaluation, and relationship-centered work. Megan is a thoughtful collaborator who enjoys partnering with subject matter experts to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable tools designed to serve diverse audiences and drive lasting, meaningful impact.
Originally from Texas and raised in Southern California, Megan returned to Texas to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Child Development at TCU, where her journey with TBRI began as a student worker for the KPICD. She later earned a master’s degree in Human Rights from the University of Roehampton in London, UK which further shaped her global perspective and passion for equity, dignity, and human-centered care. Her work is fueled by curiosity, creativity, and the belief that everyone has the right to experience well-being and deep healing.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors, practicing yoga, and spending time in her favorite coffee shop. She lives in Fort Worth with her husband and their rescue cat, Mooch.
