Ms. Miles and her team created the Road to Family Empowerment© as a 10-week training curriculum utilizing the TBRI® Strategies to better teach a one-on-one advocacy course. In April of 2022, the Volunteers for Youth Justice TBRI® training team began transformational work educating inmates at Caddo Correctional Center utilizing the healing TBRI® Caregiver training.
Lucinda is a 2020 Blue Cross Blue Shield Angel Award recipient for her work pioneering the vision, design, and implementation of a Calming Studio©, a sensory rich room in Caddo Juvenile Court which provides an alternative space for children to experience playful engagement and TBRI®
informed care. She is the owner and handler of Sasha, the ‘Emotional Support Puppy’ who daily brings joy to foster children. Lucinda passionately believes that when we create quiet and peaceful spaces, both internally and externally, transformation and healing are possible.
