InsideOut Champions

Real Relationships. Real Change.

HJI’s mentorship and reentry program pairs currently or formerly incarcerated individuals with trauma-responsive mentors who have walked similar paths and now live in wholeness, accountability, and service. Our approach is rooted in trust, structure, and authentic connection—prioritizing consistency and emotional safety.

Mentorship services include:

  • One-on-one or small group mentorship, pre- and post-release

  • Life skills coaching, including employment preparation, budgeting, conflict resolution, and goal setting

  • Support navigating housing, court requirements, and probation/parole compliance

  • Spiritual care (optional), tailored to each individual’s preferences

  • Referral coordination with local employers, counseling services, and faith communities

We are highly selective in the individuals we house or mentor, prioritizing those who are ready to engage in meaningful change. Homes operated by HJI staff offer structured living environments with daily accountability and relational support.
